Atelier Nord: cloth, colour and checkout

Overview

Atelier Nord weaves small-batch textiles on century-old looms — and sold them through a site that made everything look beige. The craft deserved better: photography that shows the weave, colour that survives a phone screen, and a shop that treats a throw blanket with the ceremony of a gallery piece.

We designed the identity and the storefront together, so the wordmark, the palette and the product pages all speak the same tactile language.

Approach

Two days in the dye workshop gave us the palette — madder, woad, undyed wool — and the photography direction: raking light, close crops, hands in frame. The shop then had to carry that warmth without slowing down.

  • Wordmark, monogram and a weave-inspired pattern system for packaging.
  • Art direction for two seasonal shoots, with a reusable shot list.
  • Product pages built around texture: macro imagery, fibre notes, care guides.
  • Checkout tuned for gifting — notes, wrapping and split shipping.
  • Editorial lookbook section the studio updates without a developer.
